Smith ES 5th Graders Shine at Celebrating Success Event

On June 9, the 5th grade students of Smith Elementary School gathered with pride and excitement for their Celebrating Success event, marking the culmination of a year filled with hard work, growth, and achievement.
The ceremony honored students with PRIDE Awards, Honor Roll certificates, and the prestigious Presidential Awards for Educational Excellence and Achievement. These accolades recognized not only academic excellence but also personal responsibility, integrity, determination, and effort—core values that define the Smith ES community.
Mr. Cutter led the students in a musical performance featuring xylophones, showcasing the students’ creativity and teamwork. The melodic performance was a delightful reminder of the many talents nurtured at Smith ES.
In a heartfelt moment, students took the stage to express their gratitude to the dedicated volunteers and staff who supported them throughout the year. Their words of thanks were met with warm applause and a few teary eyes in the audience.
The celebration concluded with students thanking their parents for their support.
As the 5th graders prepare to move on to middle school, this event served as a proud send-off, celebrating not just academic milestones but the spirit of community and perseverance that carried them through the year.
