BAUMHOLDER, Germany – Smith Elementary held its first‑ever Color Run last Saturday, launching a vibrant and joyful celebration of the Month of the Military Child. Students, families, and staff came together for a morning filled with color, energy, and community spirit as runners made their way through bursts of bright powder at each station. As 5th grader Katherine White said, “This is the best MOMC event ever! So much fun!”

The success of the event was made possible through the incredible support of our partners. The Smith Anchored 4 Life students, our Baumholder USO, the Baumholder MWR Library, and the Smith PTO all played key roles in organizing activities, cheering on participants, and helping create a welcoming, festive atmosphere. Many military members also volunteered their time, adding to the sense of community, unity and honoring the resilience of our military‑connected students.

With enthusiastic participation, smiling faces, and strong community involvement, the inaugural Smith ES Color Run was a memorable tribute to the strength, courage, and spirit of our military students during MOMC.
